FiveM for GTAV Enhanced: Early Access Hotfix 1

Following the early access launch of FiveM for GTAV Enhanced on July 21, Cfx.re has shipped the first hotfix addressing several issues reported by the community through their GitHub Discussions page. If you've been running into problems since the launch, this update should resolve many of the most common pain points.

Below is the full list of fixes included in this hotfix patch.

Resource Loading Order

Resources now execute files in the correct order, and underscore-prefixed (_) files load first again. This was reported in issues #8 and #14, and is a critical fix for resources that rely on specific file initialization order — especially those using underscore-prefixed config or utility files that need to load before the main logic.

Loading Screen & Handover Data

Loading screen handover data now returns an object again instead of a JSON string, and the missing serverAddress property has been restored (#19). This fix ensures custom loading screens receive the correct data format and can properly display server connection information.

External loading screens are now also supported, giving server owners more flexibility in how they design their connection experience.

Console & Crash Fixes

  • RegisterConsoleListener no longer crashes the server on every new console log line (#16) — essential for servers using console monitoring tools.
  • The SetDiscord* natives no longer crash the client (#17, #48), restoring Discord rich presence integration.
  • Fixed a SQLite crash that could occur under certain conditions.

JavaScript / V8 Helpers Restored

The missing gen8 JS/V8 helpers like getPlayers() and getPlayerIdentifiers() have been restored (#10). These are widely used utility functions in JavaScript-based resources, and their absence was blocking many servers from operating properly on the Enhanced platform.

Key Bindings & Controls

Default key bindings from RegisterKeyMapping() are now set correctly. Resources that register custom key bindings will now see their defaults applied as expected, rather than requiring players to manually configure them.

OneSync & Game Options

The OneSync convar is back in read-only mode, restoring compatibility with scripts that check the OneSync state. Additionally, the start/load game options that don't apply to online sessions have been removed, cleaning up the UI for FiveM players.

How to Update

This hotfix is delivered automatically through the FiveM for GTAV Enhanced client. Simply restart your client to receive the update. Server operators should update their Cfx Server binaries to the latest version as well.

If you encounter any new issues, please report them via the GitHub Discussions tab — the Cfx.re team is actively monitoring feedback during this early access period.
