FiveM for GTAV Enhanced: Early Access Hotfix 2
Cfx.re has shipped a second hotfix for FiveM for GTAV Enhanced, bringing more fixes based on community reports from the GitHub Discussions page, along with a batch of crash and stability improvements. If the first hotfix didn't resolve all the issues you were encountering, this update covers a wide range of additional problems.
Below is the full list of fixes included in this second hotfix patch.
Resource & Dependency Fixes
- Resources that declare
providein their manifest now satisfy dependency checks again (#15). This is important for frameworks that provide shared functionality to other resources through theprovidemechanism. - You can now register event handlers from inside an event again — a crucial pattern for many advanced scripting setups.
- Events sent with no arguments from another runtime no longer throw a stream error, fixing cross-runtime communication.
ACE Permissions & Player Connecting
- ACE permission checks like
IsPlayerAceAllowedwork again during theplayerConnectingevent (#100). This is a critical fix for servers that use ACE permissions for connection validation and whitelisting. _deferrals.done()no longer throws a msgpack error inside aplayerConnectinghandler (#78), ensuring deferral-based connection flows work smoothly.
State Bag Replication
Server-side writes to player state bags now replicate to the owning client (#77). If your resources use state bags to sync player data from the server to the client, this fix ensures the client receives the updated values as expected.
Networking & HTTP
- PerformHttpRequest now normalizes an empty URL path to
/, and no longer silently drops responses larger than approximately 10 MB (#89, #96). Resources that fetch larger payloads from external APIs will now work reliably.
KVP Database Fixes
The server key-value database natives have been fixed, including StartFindKvp, FindKvp, and EndFindKvp, along with a crash that occurred when using KVP getters with no-sync setters (#46, #45). Resources that rely on persistent key-value storage for player data or configuration will now function correctly.
Scripting & Runtime Fixes
- Async JavaScript exports work again (#64), restoring support for asynchronous export patterns in JS resources.
- GetCamMatrix returns the camera's actual matrix again instead of zeroed values (#49).
- Runtime textures load base64 data URLs correctly again, and no longer crash on an invalid texture (#87).
Animation & Visual Fixes
- Fixed the character turning around when aiming or scoping to the left (#63) — a noticeable animation bug that affected combat.
- Fixed flickering text in vMenu, improving the visual experience for servers using this popular admin menu.
- Fixed the wrong namespace on some client-side natives.
Crash & Stability Fixes
- Fixed a server crash from a scripting core assertion failure (#98).
- Fixed a startup crash caused by CEF resizing, improving client stability on first launch.
- Various additional server-side crash and stability fixes that improve overall reliability.
How to Update
As with the first hotfix, this update is delivered automatically through the FiveM for GTAV Enhanced client. Restart your client to receive the update, and server operators should ensure their Cfx Server binaries are up to date.
The Cfx.re team continues to actively monitor the GitHub Discussions page during early access. If you encounter any remaining issues, reporting them there gives the team the best chance of addressing them quickly.
