How to Make a Rust Server

Last updated: January 24, 2026

This guide shows you how to make your own Rust server with NolimitHost, step by step. You'll set up a Rust dedicated server, configure its settings, start it, and connect to it — ready to start hosting your own gaming community today.

Step 1: Choose Your Package

Select your package and proceed with the purchase. After you've paid, your server will be set up automatically (this is called "provisioning") and will be ready to configure within a few minutes.

Step 2: Configure Your Server

After your server is provisioned, log into the Game Panel. Log in to the NolimitHost Game Panel at https://game.nolimit.host/ and select your Rust server from the server list. Navigate to Configuration to set your server name, description, world size, and player slots.

Step 3: Set Up Name and Description

In the left sidebar, go to Server Options and configure your server name, description, and any other settings you'd like to customize. These are the details players see when they look for your server in the Rust server browser.

Step 4: Start Your Server

Click Start in the Game Panel. Once the console shows the server is online, you can connect from Rust using F1 -> client.connect SERVER_IP:SERVER_PORT. The console is the black text box in the Game Panel that shows your server's live output — wait until it reports the server is ready before trying to connect.

💡 Tip: Your server IP and port are shown in the Game Panel. If you need help connecting or want to see the other connection methods, check the How to Connect to a Rust Server guide.
