How to Use the FiveM Profiler

Last updated: August 18, 2026

This guide shows you how to use the built-in FiveM Profiler. It's a simple but powerful game tool that measures your server's performance, so you can find the code, resources, and threads that are causing lag or slowdowns.

The profiler is directly integrated into the server software, so there's nothing extra to install. It's especially useful for diagnosing poorly optimized resources.

How It Works

You start the profiler by running a couple of console commands. Together they record a short performance sample and then show you a visual breakdown of what your server was doing during that time.

  • profiler record 100 — records a profile of the next 100 frames (about a second or two of server time).
  • profiler view — opens the recorded profile so you can inspect it.

Steps

  1. Open the live console for your FiveM server (from the NolimitHost Game Panel at https://game.nolimit.host/, go to your server and open the Console).
  2. Run the command:
    profiler record 100
  3. Run the command:
    profiler view
  4. Open the link the console prints. It contains a visual profile you can explore in your browser.

Reading the Profile

The profiler breaks your server's time down into individual ticks (each tick is one pass through the game loop). Here's how to read it:

  • Zoom into a tick — Select a tick area and zoom in to see the details.
  • Check what ran — Each tick shows which processes (resources, scripts, threads) executed and how long each one took.
  • Spot slow resources — Resources that take more than 6 ms (milliseconds) of total time can cause performance problems and are worth investigating.
Tip: The profiler captures a snapshot from around the moment you run profiler record. To catch an intermittent problem, try recording a few times during the issue so you can compare the profiles.
